Tree planting, tree removals, and city tree care projects.

Watch for details on which trees are slated for removal, how residents are notified, and whether replanting is funded alongside removals.

Typically discussed at Advisory Recreation Board. Check back when the next agenda is published.

On Sept. 15, 2025, the City Council approved two urban-forestry moves: applying for a state urban forestry grant (9-0) and adding more 2025 budget money for tree removals (6-3). The split vote is the tell here—residents will feel removals block-by-block in shade, street look, and cleanup.
