budget amendment

Change to the city budget to add or move money for local needs.

Typically discussed at City Council. Check back when the next agenda is published.

In 2025, City Council used budget amendments for three very different things: $30,000 set aside for an Adams Street parking lot, more money for tree removals, and a change tied to inspection services. Two of the three votes were split (7-1 and 6-3), while the inspection-services change passed 9-0.
