Public Works staff said small redevelopments on tight lots keep running into the same problem: contractors need space, and the street and sidewalk take the hit. The city scheduled a Jan. 29 multi-department sit-down with Jim Reif Builders to set clearer expectations for pedestrian access and neighborhood function during construction.
