noise ordinance waivers
Requests to allow louder live music or event noise past usual limits in mixed-use areas
Whether Council adds conditions (noise limits by time, enforcement, neighbor notice) to the Jul 2026 waivers, especially for requests running past 11 p.m.
Typically discussed at City Council Special. Check back when the next agenda is published.
Council is lining up three noise waivers for summer live-music nights in business-to-residential transition areas, including Heroes Venture Arcade’s request to go until 2 a.m. The city keeps handling these as one-off exceptions, so nearby neighbors are left watching each date and limit instead of having a predictable rule everyone can plan around.
