Harbor work includes dredging, seawall repairs, and dock safety fixes

Whether Wisconsin DOT awards harbor planning/grant funding for any of the listed projects, and whether the expanded downtown/waterfront visioning scope feeds into harbor-area decisions.

Typically discussed at City Council. Check back when the next agenda is published.

Council has now put dredging, seawall work near the Hamilton property, and a possible breakwater extension on the city’s 2027–2029 harbor project list to stay eligible for state harbor funding. Separately, the city adopted a new fee that can be charged to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for harbor sludge disposal, and the Hamilton visioning process is talking about widening its scope to downtown and the waterfront.
