City Council approved an extension to Nov. 14, 2025 for The Hook Lanes and Games to complete exterior work required under a facade grant; described as a “final extension.”

Main Street’s director reviewed 2025 activities (including facade grants) and a draft 2026 budget; Main Street projected ending 2025 about $10,254 positive and projected a $7,466 deficit in 2026 tied to Room Tax support dropping from $12,000 to $6,000 and sponsorship challenges.

Board members raised questions about discrepancies in the 2024 historical numbers; the explanation given was a reconciliation that year.

A facade grant request (up to $13,272) for Cool City Motel, 3009 Lincoln Avenue, was discussed for replacing 28 exterior doors, with funding proposed from TIF district #11 based on being within the allowed distance.

City Council did not vote on the Cool City Motel request; it was delayed because the project scope and dollar amount changed and staff said it needed to be properly noticed and presented later.
